Save the Children is recruiting a Senior Nutrition Adviser to lead their nutrition approach and programmes. The deadline is 31 July.
The role of Senior Nutrition Adviser is a strategic position because it leads Save the Children UKs nutrition programme work managing a team of nutrition specialists across the world designing a growing portfolio of innovative and large-scale programmes and assuring the quality of their implementation and generation of high quality evidence. The Senior Nutrition Adviser will report to the Head of Hunger Reduction and Livelihoods and will be managing a team of 4, several of which will involve remote management.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Supporting programme implementation by providing technical assistance and capacity building to country programmes
- Supporting high quality monitoring and evaluation of programmes
- Supporting the dissemination of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Supporting knowledge management and networking; and by supporting advocacy and campaigning where appropriate.
Potential candidates could be working for international or national organisations (UN, NGOs or governments) with a focus on the design, management and generation of evidence from
nutrition programmes, successfully engaging in new strategic opportunities and holding responsibility for delivering outcomes.
To be successful with an application the candidates need sound strategic and technical nutrition skills with a keen eye on programme quality in a variety of contexts to guide Save the Childrens nutrition programmes across 20 countries with strong motivation to lead a team of talented nutrition advisers building on your effective management experience.
