Newcastle University has an open position as Lecturer / Senior
lecturer in Public Health Nutrition. For appointment at senior lecturer level candidates will need a PhD in nutrition, public health or a related discipline; to be a creative and nationally recognised academic with an excellent research record; have a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary research; be able to demonstrate an ability to attract funding from prestigious sources and have sound experience in research management.
To be appointed at lecturer level candidates will need to be a developing academic in nutrition, public health or a related discipline, with a good publication record and evidence of effectiveness in applying for research income. They will also need to demonstrate the ability to develop skills and experience in the other areas specified in the job description.
The position is tenable for 5 years. Applications for part-time/flexible working will be considered.
Salary: Senior Lecturer: £45,941 – £48,729, with progression to £53,233
Lecturer: £37,382 £39,649, with progression to £44,607
