FSIN: Food Security Information Network

The Food Security Information Network (FSIN) is a new network hosted by WFP and staffed by FAO, IFPRI and WFP experts. It was established to enable developing countries to build sustainable information systems on food and nutrition security. It has three specific objectives:

  • Establish a global community of practice to share knowledge, best practices and lessons learned
  • Provide access to demand-driven harmonized sets of standards, methods, tools and indicators
  • Strengthen country and regional level capacities

Registration is open to representatives of national, regional or global institutions, NGOs, private companies, academic institutions and individual food and nutrition security professionals. Members have access to, among other benefits:

  • Regular e-alerts and a quarterly e-newsletter to be kept up-to-date on the latest news and events
  • Invitations to

    participate in e-consultations

  • CoP member’s profiles to facilitate information exchange and networking among the national, regional and global networks
