Public Health Nutrition (PHN) is looking for contributions for a Special Issue on Sustainability and
Public Health Nutrition, which will be published in 2015. The deadline for submissions is 15 March 2014.
Objectives and Recommended Topics
This special issue represents an effort to analyse the impact of sustainable and non-sustainable food systems on public health nutrition, and to describe sustainability initiatives in the form of interventions, programs, and policies, and their effects on nutrition and diet-related outcomes. The objective of the
issue is to move the field forward with respect to:
- Documenting relationships among the environment, food systems, dietary behaviours and health
- Providing tools to monitor progress
- Developing and evaluating sustainability initiatives
- Building professional and public capacity
Manuscripts should be submitted through the PHN’s online manuscript submission system. Submitted manuscripts must be original and may not be under review by another publication. The manuscript selection process will follow standard journal procedures, reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis.
